Climate Dynamics (EN5232; Spring 2022)
Course Description
To comprehend general circulation of the atmospheric and ocean, climate variabilities, dynamical understanding is required. In this course, we'll review some basics of atmospheric and oceanic dynamics, and climate dynamics to explain general circulation, various climate variabilites including Madden Julian Oscillation, El Nino and Southern Oscillation, and more.

Atmospheric Dynamics (EN5210; Autumn 2021)
Course Description
This couse is to introduce basic equations governing atmospheric motions and their elementary applications: circulation and vorticity, basic dynamics of midlatitude disturbances, Quasi-geostrophic balance. The goals of this course are to provide a foundation for understanding weather systems and to develop problem solving ability. It will be evaluated based on weekly homeworks and comprehensive final exam.

Course Description
This course is to undertake objective analysis on climate big data. In climate science, many ways have been developed and introduced to handle large volume of datasets. Here, we review different methods and exercise them using real data. Final evaluation will be based on class projects including data analysis, final paper, and final presentation in English.
